From the 20th until the 23rd November two teachers, María de Smara Gonçalves Diez y Ana María de Obesso Grijalvo, travelled to Tartu, in Estonia, to meet their colleagues from Estonia, Spain, Italy, and Finland. This meeting has been the starting point of the project ENTRE VET “Cultural Features in Product Design. Entrepreneurial Initiative in VET”, part of the Erasmus+ KA2 actions.
The College of Design and Arts School in Burgos, the Asociación para la Gestión del Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación in Burgos, the Tartu Art School, the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Mazzatinti and the Raahen koulutuskuntayhtymä have drawn together to develop a 2 year long project in which students from Medium Vocational Training Cycles have to develop a product based on the assimilation of the cultural heritage of each partner country, improvement of the digital, technological and linguistic competences as well as the building of knowledge of entrepreneurial skills and methods.
The project is coordinated by the Tartu Art School in Estonia and different 5 day workshops will take place in Italy, Burgos and Finland along the project, all of them with the support and monitoring, on the business side, of the Asociación para la Gestión del Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación in Burgos. These workshops will be centred on experimenting with images and plastic patterns taken from each country’s cultural heritage, which once transformed, would be considered as an asset for future contemporary product design.
We will keep you updated!
