“CORPUS SIMULATUM” is a realistic and conceptual sculpture, carved in eucalyptus wood which had previously been a pallet to transport goods and finally destined to be discarded.
It represents a bust, as if it were a breastplate, evoking a second skin in constant change and process, showing the physical stigma produced by the experiences of the individual. I use the skin similarity as a covering and also as an element which can regenerate and reveal emotions in contrast with the breastplate as a hard cover protecting and defending soft parts which can easily be harmed or damaged.
