“Vedi Napoli poi muori”

To see Naples and then die: an Italian idiom with which I have no other option than completely agreeing.

Writing about Naples is hard because it is a city full of contradictions, both full of fascination and rejection.

First impressions of the city are like that, but I am heading form my second month here and it’s unbelievable how you end up appreciating the genuine atmosphere you can breathe in every one of its streets.

This is the most dramatic and beautiful city that you could discover. One that can make you sigh out of exasperation and make you embrace the absolute chaos at the same time.

Chaos. Beauty. Art. Magic. Rubbish. Traffic. Personality. Appearances. Noise. History.

Everything about the city is reflected in the Academy, where I am studying currently.

It is a school without grey shades: you can be learning about the most interesting artistic and philosophical trends while you are in a dilapidated classroom with high roofs and a teacher that talks with us via facebook.

Nothing leaves you indifferent, indeed. All the experience is based on the sensations that might reach you. And I am telling you, Naples has sensations to spare.
