The Maderami project produces several shapes characteristic of the origami. They have been made of wood using two different techniques: piece by piece assembling and carving.
The shapes that have finally been made in wood are a paper birds and a paper crane. The figures have been given the minimum thickness to transmit the lightness of paper.
Cherrywood an iroko have been the chosen wood types because of its beauty and quality.
