Certificate: Diploma of higher education in plastic arts and design in Illustration.
Level of the certificate (national or international):
– National: Non-university higher education.
– International: Level 5b of the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED5b). Level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF5).
An illustration degree trains professionals within a number of specific specialties, in which drawing is the most important. It gives the student the perfect opportunity to develop and refine studio skills and methods (drawing, sketching, photography, moving image, digital media, specialist software) which are essential to work as a professional illustrator.
Illustartors are usually commissioned to create images for advertising campaigns, the publishing world, digital publications, news, films and TV, magazines, newspapers, infographics, packaging, brochures, flyers, etc.
