Certificate: Diploma of Education in Plastic Arts and Design in Leather Accessory Craftsmanship.
Level of the certificate (national or international):
– National: Post-compulsory secondary education.
– International: Level 3 of the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED3).
Knowledge of the different types of skins and their suitability for being used to create clothing accessories; the correct handling of the machinery, tools and utensils used to treat and handle leather; the interpretation of the designs and sketches of different pieces that are to be created, among others.
The intermediate level training cycle “Leather Accessory Craftmanship” is designed to train professionals in the knowledge and handling of leather and in its appliance to the specific field of clothing.

Legal basis. Rules and regulations on which the Diploma is based:
- Minimum teaching requirements established by the State: Royal Decree 1461/1995, of 1 September, which establishes the diplomas of Education in Plastic Arts and Design in Leather Accessory Craftsmanship, in Artificial Flower Craftsmanship, in Millinery, in Fan Making and in Artistic Hair Comb Making, which belong to the professional family of Art Applied to Clothing, and approves the corresponding minimum education requirements.
Explanatory note: This document is intended as supplementary information to the Diploma in question, but on its own it does not have any legal validity. It may be accompanied by an Annex I which the corresponding Autonomous Community shall fill in.
