Which agency regulates the management of the Erasmus scolarships?

In Spain, the regulator of these grants is the Autonomous Agency for European Educational Programmes (OAPEE) www.oapee.es

What kind of Erasmus scholarships are offered at the School of Art and Superior of Design in Burgos?

Choices available:

  • Scholarships with mobility of studies (SMS).
  • It works with the consortium ARTECYL for students to participate in internship mobility grants (SMP)
  • Mobility grants for teachers (STT)

Who can apply?

In order to be able to apply for an Erasmus scholarship it is mandatory:

  • To be a student at EASD de Burgos in the academic year in which the scholarship is requested and to have the first course completely passed.
  • To be a teacher of the EASD of Burgos in the academic year in which the scholarship is requested.

What are the countries where I can go for an Erasmus scholarship?

Those countries with which the EASD has signed a bilateral agreement. Currently: Portugal, Norway, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Turkey.

How many scholarships does the EASD Burgos offer? What is the duration of these grants?

The EASD has granted the following places for the course 2012/2013:

SMS: 6 grants of 6 months.

STT: 4 scholarships of 5 working days.

What do I have to do to be selected and obtain the concession?

SMS: to obtain the highest possible score on the scale detailed in the notification. The following documents will be compulsorily attached: academic record, knowledge of language, motivation letter, Curriculum Vitae (Europass) and portfolio.

SMP: to obtain the highest possible score by providing the following documentation: academic record, knowledge of language, motivation letter, Curriculum Vitae Europass and portfolio.

STT: to obtain the highest possible score on the scale detailed in the notification.

What are the deadlines to apply for the scholarships?

The deadlines for the academic year 2012/2013 (implementation of the mobility in the school year 2013/2014, except for the SMP, whose scholarships will take place this year) are:

SMS: from November 7, 2012 to January 17, 2013.

SMP: from September 3 to September 28, 2012. Extension of deadline until October 10, 2012.

STT: October 1 to 5, 2012, from November 19 to December 10, 2012, from March 11 to 14, 2013.

What is the amount of the scholarship? Is it compatible with other types of financial aid?

Erasmus grants are compatible with other national aids (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports -MEC-), autonomic (Castilla y León) and local and private entities aids. The compatibility between them will be compulsorily verified.

For the academic year 2012/2013 the amounts are:

  • SMS: OAPEE Scholarship and the MEC.
    • OAPEE Scholarship: 110 € / month
    • MEC grants:
      • General Assistance Grant (8 months maximum): 100 € / month
      • Additional support for students in receipt of a General Assistance Grant granted by the MEC during the previous course of that of the mobility (8 months maximum): 85 € / month
  • SMP: OAPEE Scholarship and the MEC.
    • OAPEE Scholarship: 300 € / month
    • MEC grants:
      • General assistance grant (3 months maximum): 100 € / month
      • Additional support for students in receipt of a General Assistance Grant granted by the MEC during the previous course of that of the mobility: 85 € / month
  • STT: scholarship OAPEE 120 € / day up to a maximum of € 600. In the case of Bulgaria the amount of the grant will be 110 € / day up to a maximum of € 550.

What is an Erasmus Intensive Language Course? Do I get a financial amount for the completion of this course?

They are called Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILCs). They are Intensive courses of those languages which are less widely used in the countries participating in the programme and they are organized by the higher education institutions participating in the Erasmus programme or other organizations specializing in the languages ​​of the EILCs.

They are enjoyed by students who will perform a SMS or SMP scholarship so prior to the beginning of the exchange.

At the end of these exchanges a certificate is provided to the student.

The deadline for the academic year 2012/2013 has been up to October 29, 2012.

An amount of money is received by the completion of these courses, and for the course 2012/2013 (6 weeks maximum) this amount ascends to: 300 € / month.
